Guarana Summer Opening party, Ibiza
Posted by: admin in Santa Eulalia, guarana, live musicLast night (Sunday) saw the Summer Opening party at Guarana in Santa Eulalia, which is a moment roundly celebrated not only by the club itself, because from now they’re open every night till sunrise, but also by the thrill starved locals, celebrating the return of hot days and skimpy clothing, who have to wait another couple of weeks for the opening of the rest of the big clubs on the island.
As if in synch with the mood, the sea today was hurling waves onto the beach building towards the crescendo of the party, after many days of flat calm.

Our correspondent failed to catch the free champagne for the early birds, but did catch the set from “The Lost Mountain Orchestra” with their unusual mix of country and classical, performed on violin, double bass and two guitars (they’ve come from nowhere to become the most in-demand local band almost overnight!).
This was followed by the Brazilian band ‘Ricardito’ as the assembled crowd of fun starved punters prepared for a long night in a chaotic venue spilling out beyond the terrace into the road outside.
Dj’s Jose Maria Ramon and Thomas Hedberg kept the assembled bootie swinging till daylight and thus the scene was set – welcome to another summer on the eternal party island, from a venue that recognizes that the way forward involves dance and live music being able to work alongside each other…
