We came down to the hotel early to do some wifi research for the iphoneibiza.com site so stopped off for a quick sherbet before tonights ibiza rocks gig. Its great sitting in the lobby, having a beer and watching the world go by.

We also just ran into Iain from the Hungover Stuntmen who professed to just waking up… and who asked what time they were on later…

In a weird turn of events Kumharas bar down in Port des Torrent has been ordered to close for 2 months and a 6000 euro fine for allowing drug use in 2005. This follows on from DC10 having to close their doors yesterday for 57 days.

July’s edition of Ibiza NOW magazine went to the printers yesterday so here’s a sneak preview of the cover:

This editionis now 116 pages with 12 pages on Ibiza beaches and beach restaurants, we got 8 pages of music reports including the International Music Summit, Space opening weekend, Pete Tong at Eden, Ibiza Rocks Hotel opening and the start of this summer’s Ibiza Rocks gigs as well as a follow-up to last month’s article about Lenny Ibizarre and a look at Lovehouse.fm.

There’s also a follow-up to the report we did about diving to the Don Pedro sunken freighter and we’ve also a report on the state of tourism here and interviews with many of the major players involved.

It’ll be out as usual on 1st July.

We’ve done the Ibiza sunsets, sunrises and now “moonrises”…

We were talking to a friend who works at Mango’s Beach bar and he was saying that at full moon time, in the evening you get a great view of the moon coming out of the sea. So since the euro 2008 was on and he reckoned the moon would rise around full time we duly decided to combine both. As it turned out the moon started to appear at 11.45pm and was blood red:
