After all that it was another a nice sunset:

Up until about 8 years ago this was a nice little field full of yellow flowers that followed the sun as it crossed the sky - it was handy place for people to take their dogs for a walk. One year a local dodgems & stuff circus put up shop for a couple of weeks. This happened every few months and by the end of the year it was basically a muddy field. One day the jcb’s turned up and overnight it was a car park.

It has been an endless source of amuzement since then as there have never been any “markings”. Witness this photo - if you’re one of the 8 or so cars in the middle - you’re stuffed.

After the heavy rains that turn up, the car park also becomes a large mudbath and the pools of water and mud dont tend to dry out until next feb/march.

Hopefully this is all about to change as it looks like they might be planning to tarmac it finally. We would’ve preferred the field to go back to its original state but if not they might as well tidy it up and do it properly.
