Las Dalias are “reopening” their restaurant tomorrow night (4th April) from 8.30pm. Playing live will be Vagabundos de Lujo & Friends. We shall be there but one member of the team will probably be watching a footy game first…

Tonight saw the opening of that rather fine Italian restaurant, half way down the road to Es Canar – Sapori Divini.

For any of you out there who haven’t checked it out, we have no news on this year’s menu, apart from the fact that the cuisine is Italian and the lovely couple that run the restaurant are extremely user friendly.

We got there late, but on Thursday we will return to report on the cuisine, so watch this space – then make your booking…

We are happy and proud to announce the launch of our new website – ibizaA-Z.com – which has been put together with the latest innovations on the internet.

The launch party will take place at the Brisa de la Mar restaurant on Cala Pada beach next Sunday, April 1st from 2 p.m.
The Lost Mountain Orchestra will be providing the live music and the restaurant serving the cooked food to your table on the beach, if you like…

The website is completely revolutionary, in that the navigation system works entirely on Google maps, making it multi-lingual.

The plan is to take the everyday ‘A-Z’ ~ (yellow pages) to the next logical level, so that it actually shows you on a map where the front door of the place is, that you’re seeking. The next step is to take you through the front door and give you a virtual tour – but one step at a time, eh? …

Amongst the many new things that it can already do: it can, for example, plot bus routes telling you what time the next bus passes your stop (and if you miss that one it’ll tell you the time of the one after that!).

An early starter for the season, we are pleased to announce the opening of La Cucina for their third season in the marina of Santa Eulalia.
This is a place worth checking out to discover the taste of a real Italian kitchen with a modern touch. All of the authentic dishes are prepared to order by Max, the owner and chef from Rome, using only fresh, top quality ingredients, many of which are imported.

Relax in their cosy corner restaurant, alongside Fairline and the Sunsea Bar, whilst enjoying large portions, fair prices and friendly Italian service and style, courtesy of Max and Alessandra. They always have fine Italian coffees, wines and liqueurs on offer to round off your dining experience.

That brilliant indian down in Ibiza Town (near the Vara de Rey) is now open at lunchtimes from 1 pm for Indian style ‘menu del dia’ for only 9,50 €!
A ‘menu del dia’ with a difference. The kitchen is open every day from 1 – 4 pm (except Sunday) and thereafter from 6 pm – midnight every evening. After midnight you can chill in the large bar area, or in the comfort of your chosen dining space, till you feel the need to go home…

An elegant restaurant on the beach, which is as far removed from the ‘chiringuito’ concept of its neighbours, as could be possible. It holds pride of place in this unusual development, that has formed around the mouth of this one time ‘torrente’ that runs into this beautiful bay.

People tend to decry this bay because of the two incongruous hotel developments upon its eastern shore, but if you cast your gaze in the other direction, or out to sea to the little island called Illa des Bosc, that always brings to mind ‘Tracey Island’ of Thunderbirds fame, it is sill stunningly attractive.

Perhaps that is why the owners of the restaurant at which we sit decided to open as early as March. It certainly appears to be a decision that has paid off – it’s a Wednesday afternoon and over fifty diners are creating a buzz that fills the enclosed terrace area with a lovely, winter, Ibicenco dialogue.
