Formentera LIBRARY Biblioteca Municipal in Sant Francesc Xavier: Mon-Fri 5:00 to 9.30 pm. In Sant Ferran: Mon-Fri 5:00 to 9:00 pm. The Sala Cultural de Sa Nostra in Sant Francesc has closed its doors due to the expiry of its lease. Formentera Preview The new Council of Formentera is eager to do more on the tourism front. In May several different events focusing on promoting the island's nature and environment will take place.Here some teasers beforehand: On May 2nd and 3rd the "Muestra de Vehiculos de Emision Cero" attracts serveral national companies to show their products -low emission vehicles. On the last day, May 4th, there will be an "Eco Rally" featuring the participating vehicles. The Council plans to use the Cero-Emisssion-Vehicle-Show to present the island's remodeled bike and hiking routes. On May 3rd there will be a cooking show where islanders and visitors are invited to join in. Typical food and wine will be served. From May 22nd to 25th the first "Posidonia Festival" will take place with live music and art events of all kinds
